Competency based training

SRI's online training programmes are focused on competency and skills development of traffic officers, supervisors and operators in the sugar industry. As an initiative of the Australian sugar industry, SRI, QUT and SRDC, they establish performance and training standards across all Australian sugar mills.
This programme is being jointly funded by a syndicate of Australian sugar mills, QUT, SRI and SRDC.
Training modules are not yet available, but will be available via this page as they are rolled out over 2011-2012. Please note that access will only be available to job 5503 syndicate members until the end of the agreed exclusivity period.

The planned modules are:
- Introduction to sugar factory operations
- Overview of sugar factory operations
- Steam and power generation
- Milling and juice extraction
- Clarification and mud filtration
- Juice evaporation
- Pan boiling
- Fugalling and sugar drying
Each module is comprises online and downloadable content for both trainees and trainers.
