SRI’s combustion systems include swirl spreaders and air distribution systems, available for retrofits and new boiler installations.
Special features of the swirl spreader combustion system:
- Up to 15% increase in steam capacity for a given furnace size;
- Improved flame stability;
- Reduced sensitivity to bagasse moisture variations;
- Fitted external to boiler structure;
- Controllable bagasse spread pattern; and
- Reduced bagasse deposition on the grate, resulting in reduced maintenance.
Capabilities:
- Delivers continuous rated boiler steam capacity (MCR output);
- Usually requires no adjustments after commissioning;
- Can be retrofitted to most existing boilers or incorporated in design of new boilers; and
- Can fire any combination of bagasse, other biomass (such as woodwaste, woodchips and sawdust).
