SRI has developed an extensive suite of software that covers a broad range of applications within the sugar milling industry.
Our software portfolio includes:
- Models that can predict performance characteristics of the various components in sugar factories, such as crystallisers, pans and milling unit;
- Simulation and optimisation programs for factory processes and transport operations; and
- Vessel design software.
These programs have been developed and refined over many years and are used for both research and consulting activities.
SRI is in the process of making the following programs available for use online:
- Correlations – provides a wide range of sugar stream property calculations;
- Milset - assists with the milling train setting process;
- Coolex – predicts the performance characteristics of cooling crystallisers;
- Boiler Efficiency – calculates the efficiency of a boiler;
- Cyclone – assists with the design of cyclone separators;
- Milsim – models the extraction performance of milling trains;
- Tubular Juice Heater – tubular heater design and performance calculations; and
- Fuel Properties Calculator – evaluation of bagasse combustion properties.
