SRI has a wealth of practical and theoretical experience in steam generation in factories.
SRI's capabilities are highlighted by its development and/or extending of several computational boiler models for use in predicting boiler performance under different operating conditions and using modified geometry.
These modelling tools, combined with SRI's practical boiler tuning skills, are invaluable to clients considering factory performance and expansion options.
Our clients have benefited from the results of steam generating capacity analyses that have enabled an increase steam in generating capacity, increased throughput and avoided the significant capital cost of a new boiler installation.
We specialise in:
- Identifying factors limiting boiler steam generating capacity;
- Fine-tuning bagasse feeders and spreaders;
- Targeting convection bank tube wear;
- Re-designing boiler convection banks to control erosion;
- Understanding furnace geometry, draft system, circulation and steam separation systems; and
- Re-designing baffles in ductwork before air heaters to reduce air heater tube corrosion.
