Sugar Research Institute offers a series of workshops to provide a forum for transport and mill staff to discuss aspects of their jobs and improve their skills and processes for handling transport and factory issues.

SRI workshops include:

• Traffic Officers
• Factory – Instrumentation and Process Control

Introduction to Intermediate – 3 days

The Traffic Officers’ Workshop provides a forum for traffic officers and senior transport staff to discuss supervisory aspects of their jobs and improve their skills and processes for handling these issues.

Senior traffic officers review the last two TOTrain (traffic officer training) modules to train new traffic officers on how to use the TOTrain modules. The workshop also provides a forum for traffic officers to discuss some of the systems in place for making their jobs easier.

Intermediate to Advanced – 2 days

This workshop provides a facilitated discussion on instrumentation and process control issues and advancements.

The workshop format includes a combination of short presentations by factory staff identifying and solving problems, and sharing best practice.
