Swirl Spreader
SRI’s swirl spreader and air distribution system provides valuable benefits to bagasse and other biomass fired boilers. Suitable for both retrofits and new boiler installations, the SRI swirl spreader keeps fuel particles in suspension for longer - allows more effective use of furnace volume and rates above MCR are possible.
SRI's swirl spreader combustion system gives you:
- Up to 10% increase in steam capacity for a given furnace size, because both combustion performance and combustion rate are increased;
- Improved flame stability, especially when bagasse moisture is excessive;
- Reduced sensitivity to bagasse moisture variations, because of the drying effect on bagasse prior to combustion;
- Easy installation, because it is fitted external to the boiler structure and does not require adjustment after commissioning;
- Controllable bagasse spread pattern for optimum fireball position; and
- Reduced maintenance, because less unburned bagasse is deposited on the grate.
- The option to use other biomass fuels (such as wood waste, wood chips and sawdust) alongside bagasse.
